Green Leaf Certification is issued by the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala to centres, which maintain the required standards in facilities, equipment, personnel, medicines and health programmes offered. The certificate, valid for three years, is awarded by the Department of Tourism after inspection by a team comprising the Director, Kerala Tourism, Director, Indian Systems of Medicine, Professor of Kayachikitsa, Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, and a representative each of the Ayurveda College, Kottakkal and the Indian Association of Tour Operators.
